I come from a team sport background. I played baseball competitively for 14 yrs, playing for both high school and traveling teams. l joined the Marine Corps right out of high school and served for 5 yrs. Later in my military career I was put in charge of getting junior Marines physically ready for deployments. It was here I fell in love with training and helping others.
These days I have worked hard on becoming a well rounded athlete. I don't focus on any one aspect of fitness. I prefer to lift heavy but still train hard for endurance and work capacity. I take this mindset into my coaching of other athletes as well.
I grew up playing soccer and have played 10+ years through high school, and on a few adult leagues as I got older. I’ve always been driven to athletics and dabbled with Track my Sr. year of high school. A few years ago I was introduced to weight training and obstacle course races and absolutely fell in love with the weights in my hands.
I am the team manager for my son's competitive soccer team, and one of my daughters Girl Scout Leaders. I love being able to show my kids what time and dedication can do for someone; yes, you can do hard things and there is a positive benefit! I enjoy coaching my clients and supporting them in their fitness, and athletic endeavors.
